road away from the main traffic thoroughfare but still within
walking distance of the town's main street with its shops,
cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Llandeilo has a host of shops and
eateries all within 5 minutes stroll of Yr Hen Festri.
The area is rich in natural beauty,
Welsh heritage and places of interest. On the doorstep is
the lovely River Towy, Dynevor Park and Castle and Newton
House. Within 10 miles you will find Aberglasney House and
Gardens, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, Dolaucothi
Goldmines and Carreg Cennen and Dryslwyn Castles.
Swansea and the Gower coast is
45 minutes away by car with lovely Hay-on-Wye 1 hour and
45 minutes away.

valley, the gardens were lost until recently rediscovered

Heart
of Wales Railway - One of the most
scenic railway journeys in the UK, the Heart of Wales line
runs from Swansea to Shrewsbury. Llandeilo railway station
is just a short walk away. Llandrindod Wells is 1 hour and
40 minutes by train and Shrewsbury is 2 hours and 50 minutes.

are set amid wooded hillsides overlooking the beautiful
Cothi Valley.
